Welcome to my page: As an operations officer and leader in the U. S. Army, I experienced the impact listening and leading had on individual performance. A commitment to Listening allows us to tap into our own authentic “genius.” I bring this commitment into my life, and to my work.

Neil Ruiz completed 5-years of military service as an Army Air Defense Captain, with a 2012 tour of duty in the Republic of South Korea. After his return, he leveraged his military experience and began working in the field of leadership development through training, studies, and practices in transformative learning and leadership.

In 2014, Neil joined a team at Bhavana Learning Group as program supervisor to deliver an executive leadership Course at Rutgers University, Business School in Newark. Based on research and designs from our own “first-person learning” methods and practices, the course provided students with a laboratory to develop their own leadership profile. Neil works with learners to integrate our innovative content, research, and practices into a sustainable leadership profile.

Neil is currently the Content Manager and Program Supervisor at Bhavana Learning Group. He manages IT and technical concerns; supervises program delivery, and manages our learning methods, and practices; and, curates content to ensure quality control of the firm’s IP (intellectual property).

Neil graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2007 with a B. S. in Human Geography. He speaks fluent Spanish and has spent five years studying and practicing transformative learning methods.

Neil enjoys running and ran the 2015 NYC marathon. His interests include reading and mindful practices.
